What is FREdome?
FREdome is a world-changing vision.
Our aim is to link the goodwill and best ideas of whole communities to what happens in society. Your ideas may be artistic, practical or to do with your beliefs and values.
So we support a cycle of four activities: (1) Events which get diverse communities together; (2) Workshops to stimulate ideas; (3) Use of the Internet to open up the participation as widely as possible; (4) Making those ideas happen – in partnership with active community members, fundraising events, authorities, businesses, and influential organisations.
Bit by bit, then, we connect what communities want, with what actually happens. One day, maybe this will replace the negative things we see on the news everyday, and create a better world for ourselves, our children and future generations.

How do I add an idea?
Firstly, make sure you are registered with FREdome. Visit the registration page and fill in your details.
You must also be logged in.
You can add your idea in a number of ways. If you visit the My Ideas page, you can click Add an Idea on the right hand side.
You can also select Submit an Idea from the home page.
Alternatively, visit the Add an Idea page directly.
Once there, fill in the relevant details, selecting the Idea Type, then Genre. If you need to upload an audio, video or image file, you can do so here, too. Then click Add Idea.
Your idea will be added to the Pending Ideas section in your My Ideas page, awaiting authorisation from an Administrator. Once an Administrator has authorised your idea, it will be available for rating and live on the website.
How do I rate an idea?
To help you rate this idea, we ask you to consider various aspects.
Importance: Give the aspect that matters most to you an importance of 10. If another aspect is half as important, give that 5. If it’s nearly as important, give the importance 8 or 9. And so on…
Your Rating: Now rate the idea from each of those aspects. 10 means perfect, 5 is average, 0 is the pits.
Overall Rating: This is what you think of the idea on the whole, taking all the above into account. The website will check that everything you’ve entered is consistent.

How do I find an idea?
The top 5 ideas are available on the homepage and other pages around the website. You can click these to see the idea directly. You must be logged in to rate it.
Also here are the 5 most recently added ideas, to make sure all ideas receive similar promotion.
You can also search for an idea using the Search feature available in the navigation menu.
I don't receive any emails from the FREdome website. Why not?
All emails sent out via the website can by both
text based
or
HTML based
Emails that are HTML based may appear in your Junk Mail folder of get caught by your SPAM filter.
Solution: Add this email address (web@fredometest.co.uk) to your white list or safe list so that mails from the website will always be accepted. To find out how to do that, please refer to the help section of your email software (Microsoft Outlook etc.) or web based service (Hotmail. etc).
