If I ruled the World.... By Charlotte Dormon
If I ruled the world I would close Alton Towers to the public and for my birthday, take me and all my friends and classmates to ride around like lunatics until we are sick! Then we would go to their Water hotel and sleepover for the weekend; staying up every night eating sweets!
When we get back from Alton Towers, we would take a trip to Paris, and do all the touristic things that you do when you go on holiday. But most importantly we would: SHOP! SHOP! SHOP! around all the designer boutiques in Paris. Then, with all our designer bags and shoes, we would go to a classic French restaurant and dare each other to eat snails! Yuck!
After we get bored with Paris, we would go to London. Can you guess where we are going next? You've Got It! Oxford Street! So we would go around Topshop, trying on the biggest sunglasses that we can find. Then of to Leicester Square and we would simply pig out on ice cream until our brains freeze!
After that we would go to Earls Court to see Amy Winehouse, Elton John and Boy George trying to sing different songs all at the same time, exclusively for us, and not stop laughing for hours! We would then go and have lunch will Sir Alan Sugar, and have an unsuccessful attempt to persuade him for us to be his Apprentices'. Then we would meet up with the entire cast of Friends. After that, we would fly to New York with 'Friends.' But when we get there, we would perform an amazing, one of a kind, episode of Friends, which would be broadcast all over the world.
Later on, we would hop into a Lamborghini Jacuzzi Limo, and get changed into our new Chanel/Dolce and Gabbana/Gucci dresses, that we bought from France, before going to a VIP Premier of Matt Damons' new movie; and then to an after party with A-list stars,a red carpet and hundreds of Paparazzi taking our photographs for their 'Best Dressed' double page article of their monthly magazines.
After being totally exhausted from all our dancing at an A-list party, we would fly, by Simon Cowells private jet to Italy, and have as much pizza as we can stomach.
Following two weeks in Italy, we are to head back to London, and intend to launch a new clothing line, which was co-designed by Chanel.(Chanel contacted us after seeing our amaing photgraphs in all the hottest New York magazines). Our boutique overtook the entire area of Regent Street, and we would be sold out of stock within three hours of opening.
My Family would of course be living in the life of luxury; living in big houses, not working, and getting out of bed whenever they wanted to.
So once I had looked after my family and my friends, what would I do for third world countries? Well, I would drop all world debt, and let people begin to enjoy their lives. I would also put water wells every three miles in third world countries, and build hospitals for sick people in poverty. I would also help people who wanted to have professional jobs to train, and be educated, something which we, in our country take for granted. Then I would make sure that every child was immunised against diseases, such as Malaria, the worlds biggest killer. I would also run local projects, for people of all ages, for support and self confidence.
Then I would go to areas where large international countries exploit children for child labour, (when children should be at school and being educated) and put a stop to that.
And because the many people who live in third world countries have never had a proper chance in life, simply because of where they were born, I would ensure that they had an amazing holiday with their family; because they, more than any of us, despite what you may think, deserve a holiday.
I am sure that many more people who read this, agree with my final views. Although we do not have the power to change these things, like goverments and the G8, it is good that we have HOPE. Hope that third world debt will be dropped one day, and people can live their lives to the fullest. Because even if WE can't drop the debt, we can do the smaller things that make big differences to those peoples lives, such as raising money for water wells, and rebuilding houses through sponsered events.
